Purpose

I believe that my musical generation has a very important responsibility to the future of music. As the mantle is passed from our teachers / musical influences to us, we should be clear of our task to contemporary music (i.e. living and breathing music.) I have initiated this blog because for as long as I have been thinking about music there has been a "crisis in modern music." I do not think that this is solely restricted to the classical music genre. This does not have to be. We can change this for the better and create a vivid, interesting and ultimately a healthy between music and society. I hope that others feel the same way as I do and we can share in open discussion the ways in which we can create an active and growing relationship with the communities in which we make music.
